Dawson Geophysical Company is a provider of onshore seismic data acquisition services in the United States. As of September 30, 2009, the Company operated 10 three-dimensional (3-D) seismic data acquisition crews in the lower 48 states of the United States and a seismic data processing center. The Company markets and supplements its services from its headquarters in Midland, Texas and from additional offices in Houston, Denver, Oklahoma City and Michigan. Its geophysicists perform data processing in its Midland, Houston and Oklahoma City offices, and its field operations are supported from its field office facility in Midland. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2009 (fiscal 2009), all of its revenues were derived from 3-D seismic data acquisition operations. In October 2009, the Company operated nine land-based seismic data acquisition crews.
